I recommend reaching out during your second trimester to reserve your newborn session and get your tentative date on the calendar. I accept a limited number of sessions each month so that every family receives a fully personalized, elevated experience. Inquiring early ensures availability and gives us time to plan everything thoughtfully together.
Planning Your Session Together
After you reserve your session, we will connect over a planning call to talk through vision, wardrobe, and what you want your final artwork to feel like in your home. I want the images we create to feel cohesive with your life, not just beautiful in a studio.
I have a feminine client wardrobe with 60+ dresses in sizes XS through XXXL, so you have plenty of beautiful, camera-friendly options to choose from. I also connect you with my preferred hair and makeup artist, who will come to the studio and pamper you on the morning of your session. Many moms tell me that having their hair and makeup professionally done is one of the most unexpected gifts of the experience. You show up feeling like yourself, confident and taken care of, so that when you are holding your baby in front of the camera, the only thing on your mind is them.
Your Session Day
Your session takes place in my home studio in SE Portland. We will design a beautiful variety of images together: your baby solo, family portraits together, sibling moments, and close detail images of those tiny features that disappear so quickly. We’ll create a variety of images of your baby, your family, and the connections between you, all while following your baby’s pace.
Every pose your baby is placed in is one you would find them in naturally. I am certified in newborn safety through APNPI and trained in infant and child CPR, and your baby’s safety is the foundation of everything I do.
Viewing Your Portraits
About three weeks after your session, we’ll schedule an online reveal and ordering appointment, where you can view your portraits from the comfort of your home. You will have time to go through your favorites and select the images that will become part of your artwork collection. I guide you through heirloom album options and custom-framed pieces designed to live in your home, not get lost in a phone camera roll.
Purchased digital images are delivered within 24 hours of placing your order, and your artwork ships within approximately six to eight weeks.

Absolutely. I have a curated feminine wardrobe with over 60 dresses in sizes XS through XXXL, and I also have a baby wardrobe for sizes newborn through eighteen months. During our planning call, we will walk through outfit direction for your entire family so that everyone feels coordinated, comfortable, and beautiful.
Will there be a hair and makeup artist available?
Yes. I connect every client with my preferred hair and makeup artist, who will come to the studio on your session day to pamper you before we photograph. She specializes in natural, camera-ready looks that enhance your features without feeling heavy or overdone. Even if you do not typically wear much makeup, I highly recommend scheduling with her. You will feel so glad you did.
Are digital images included in the session fee?
The session fee covers my time and talent for planning, preparing for, and photographing your session, as well as access to my client wardrobe. Digital images and heirloom artwork are selected and purchased during your online viewing appointment, which takes place about three weeks after your session. Most families choose a combination of digital images and physical artwork pieces.
