I often hear the question “Why minimalist newborn photography?” For me, I love a more simplistic approach to photography. Your baby and your family connections are the most important part of what we are doing. So that’s what we want the main focus of the image to be on. Which is why, I don’t use any props in my newborn photography work. I keep everything minimal and focused on your beautiful family.

I use soft neutral blankets and backdrops for the images to ensure that the focus remains on your sweet newborn baby and your gorgeous family.

Neutral tones and colors compliment every skin tone and photograph so beautifully. Plus, when you wear neutral tones in your images your eye then goes to the connection between family members. Not getting distracted by busy patterns or loud colors in clothing. So, you will always hear me talking about selecting neutral tones and colors for your clothing options. When we get together over zoom for our pre-session planning call, you’ll notice all of my style boards are filled with soft neutral clothing options.

Minimalist newborn photography fuels my creative soul and allows me to do my best work. Which is exactly what you can expect when you book a newborn photography session with me. Ready to book your own newborn photography session? Click Here to get started!
