Alma Birth Center describes birthing at their birth center as giving birth in a spa-like bed and breakfast. Their Alma midwives care for you and support you throughout your labor and delivery. Located at 1608 SE Ankeny Street, Alma Birth Center offers services from conception through postpartum.
Their services include complimentary tours paired with meet and greets for pregnant people and their support person. They also provide preconception counseling, prenatal care, in-house lab draws, basic bedside ultrasound, and fetal surveillance (including during home visits).
Offerings include birth center birthing services, hospital birthing support, water labor, and birth at home or in their birth center. Care includes postpartum care, well-baby care, breastfeeding support with a referral to an IBCLC, and wellness care. They offer conception education and support, birth control, menopausal support, and bladder health monitoring.
The Alma Birth Center is perfect for any and every birth. It has four birth rooms designed for comfortable laboring, birthing, and postpartum healing. You get to choose which room you birth in and a practice run to ensure it is to your liking.
You also practice getting in the tub, learning birthing positions, and catching the baby. A massive perk of Alma Birthing Center is the staff’s thoughtfulness; once you notify them that you’re in labor and on your way, they are already on it and draw you a warm bath, light candles around the tub, and get things prepared to make you comfortable and relaxed. Andaluz Waterbirth Center
Andaluz Waterbirth Center offers a personalized birthing experience where you can feel safe and cared for! Promising connecting prenatal care, mother-led labor and birth, and family-centered postpartum care, the Andaluz Waterbirth Center invites each of its potential birthing clients to tour the center and meet the midwives you’ll be working with. Located at 3323 SW Naito Pkwy, it offers prenatal care, in-house ultrasounds, waterbirths, VBACs, classes, postpartum care, lactation support, and newborn care at its birth center.
The Andaluz Waterbirth Center was renovated with comfort in mind, ensuring their birthing moms feel right at home! The colonial building features teak wood floors and stonework throughout the house. It includes four birthing suites with queen-sized beds and state-of-the-art birthing pools, two consultation rooms, a large classroom, a lending library, a living room, and a full-size kitchen. The center also offers essential oil diffusers, birth balls, birth stools, birth swings, Swedish ladders, oxygen, medications if needed, and nitrous oxide to give their clients a complete list of options for comfort!
Canyon Medical Center
Located at 2100 SW Camelot Ct, Canyon Medical Center is a naturopathic and holistic Portland birth center and midwife service founded in 1982, and offers CMC childbirth classes, birth doula services, prenatal nutrition support, postpartum support, placenta encapsulation, holistic pelvic care, homebirth, nitrous oxide labor relief, woman wellness care, and their birth center!
