I began photographing families 8 years ago, long before becoming a parent myself. Now, two years into parenthood, my role as a family photographer has never felt more meaningful. These days with your little ones are fleeting, but the memories we capture together will last long after the diapers and burp cloths are gone. I’m here to help you hold onto those moments with beautiful, timeless images that you'll cherish for years to come. I love preserving these memories in a way that feels natural and true to your family.
But it doesn’t stop there! I’m passionate about helping you bring these photos to life. Many families choose to turn them into heirloom albums or custom frames to display in their homes—because let’s face it, photos are meant to be seen and felt, not just tucked away on a computer.

I recommend reaching out at least three months before you want to schedule your session for to ensure availability. For maternity and newborn portraits, I recommend reaching out early in your second trimester.
LOCATION
After the booking process is completed we will begin discussing location options. Newborn sessions happen at my home studio in SE Portland - near the Woodstock neighborhood. Maternity & Milestone sessions can either take place at an outdoor location or at my home studio. Family sessions take place outdoors between the months of March - November.
For outdoor sessions, you will receive a location guide which includes all of my pre-approved spots that photograph so beautifully. There are locations around the Portland area as well as into the Gorge. I also have a few spots on the Oregon Coast that are available as well!
waRDROBE STYLING
About 4 weeks prior to your session we will hop on a quick pre-session planning zoom call to discuss outfits for the whole family. I will come prepared with some vision boards for your entire family and give you all of the links to shop the looks. Making the whole process super easy for you.
You are welcome to borrow from my client wardrobe (60+ size inclusive dresses).
This is also the time for you to reach out to my preferred hair & makeup artist who will pamper you on your session day. She excels at creating an enhanced natural look and she's amazing!
The SEssion
Your family session will focus on genuine moments between family members. I have some interactions I will guide you through, but I encourage you to embrace the moment.
Have fun with your kids, explore the surroundings, laugh, tickle them, fly them like an airplane and I'll create beautiful images for you that you will cherish forever. I will not be asking you to smile at me the entire time. I look for authentic moments of you and your family members interacting with one another. That's where the true magic happens.
DELIVERY
About 3 weeks after your session, we will schedule a time for you to view your images via an online reveal + ordering appointment. You will have 48 hours to view your images, select your favorites, and decide on artwork. This all takes place from the comfort of your own home.
Purchased digital images are delivered within 24 hours of placing your order and artwork is ready for delivery in about 6-8 weeks. I'll schedule a time with you to deliver everything to your home. Making the entire process as easy as possible for you.
KEEPSAKES
We will work together to create some beautiful heirloom pieces of artwork for you and your family to enjoy for years to come. Many of my clients choose to preserve their memories with a custom heirloom album of some of their images from their session and/or a few fine art prints for their wall.
All of my clients walk away with at least some of the digital images, but as we go through the creative process together, it's important to decide how you want to display your images. Ask yourself, "how do I want to see my images 5, 10, 20 years from now?"

Savor this time of life with a professional photo session, where you can bask in the beauty of these fleeting moments with your precious family, leaving all worries behind for an evening. Natural Area in SE Portland
location inspiration
This location changes with the seasons. In the summertime, you’ll find fields of wild daisies, Queen Anne’s lace and tall golden grasses. In the fall you’ll find some color and greener grasses. It’s beautiful year-round and one of my favorite outdoor locations for family photo sessions!
Cooper Mountain

Just south of Beaverton, this beautiful natural area is easily accessible and stroller-friendly. It features golden grass fields, towering pine trees, and breathtaking views of the Chehalem Mountains and Tualatin Valley.
Rowena Crest

This spot is a bit deeper out into the Gorge about 20 miles east of Hood River. It boasts some amazing views of the Gorge and sunsets are absolutely incredible. There are beautiful yellow wildflowers here in late April early May.
Very Stroller Friendly.

Portland Rose Gardens

The roses bloom from late May to late August, creating a breathtaking backdrop that truly captures the essence of the City of Roses. While this location is popular in the evenings, its spacious layout ensures plenty of room to explore, play, and create stunning photographs
Rooster Rock State Park

If you're looking for stunning Gorge views with a touch of a beachy, windswept vibe, this is the perfect spot. In the fall and winter months, water levels are typically low enough to access the beach. However, if the water is too high (which I’ll monitor and update you on), we may need to explore a farther location for your Gorge session.

WHAT TO WEAR
I recommend light-colored neutrals, pastels, or jewel tones for a timeless look in your photos. Bright, bold colors can be distracting and may date your images more quickly.
Coordinate
Instead of having everyone wear the same outfit, aim for a coordinated look to create visual interest. A well-planned color palette helps break up colors and shades, adding depth to your photos. Mixing different hues, textures, and layers will elevate your images—so the more variety, the better!
Planning Call
Before your session, we’ll have a pre-session planning call to go over outfits for the whole family. I’ll create vision boards and help you plan everything weeks in advance, so there’s no last-minute stress. Plus, you’re welcome to borrow from my client wardrobe, making the process even easier for you!

HOW DO WE BOOK?
Head on over to my contact form to get started. We’ll finalize the details over email, then I’ll send you a booking proposal to complete. This will include a contract to sign, a questionnaire to fill out, and payment for the non-refundable session fee. Once everything is taken care of, we can begin planning your dream photography session!
Are digital images included?
Digital images can be purchased during your reveal and ordering appointment. Most of my clients choose to purchase their digital images in addition to heirloom albums and custom framed artwork. I encourage you to really think about how you want to enjoy your images 10, 20 years from now. How do you plan on displaying your images in the future? I'm here to help you bring your photos to life in your home, making sure they don't get lost on outdated technology.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
While I’m not a meteorologist, I do keep a close eye on the weather, especially as your session approaches. If rain is in the forecast, we’ll reschedule to another day that same week—ideally when the skies are clear. I’ll stay in touch with you via text leading up to your session to keep you updated on the weather.
